Instituto Estelar Bilingue is a mid-sized English and Spanish school with 400 English students and 6 English teachers. Our work environment is upbeat and organized. The city of Liberia is walkable, safe, and close to beaches, volcanoes, and many other natural attractions. We do not receive nearly the amount of rainfall as other parts of Costa Rica. Gorgeous beaches are accessible by public buses and only 40-90 minutes away. Liberia is not a touristy town, so you will practice your Spanish and integrate with the locals. You can walk everywhere, but having a bike is helpful. The international airport is 10 minutes outside of town.
Our teachers work on a 9-month contract, and receive help with the visa, and can also receive free Spanish classes.
Our teachers get Costa Rican wages, which is enough to live on and travel around Costa Rica.
Job requirements: Teachers must have a C2 level of English (native or native speaker level), hold a minimum of a bachelors degree, and possess a TEFL or CELTA certificate.
Teaching experience, basic computer skills, and knowledge of Spanish are helpful.
