Position Summary:

EC has vacancies for Activity/Operations Managers who are responsible for the organisation and delivery of the Young Learner Summer Operations at our summer locations in London, Cambridge, Brighton Frensham and Portsmouth. We are looking for a self-driven and enthusiastic team member who fits EC's values and team spirit. The candidate will be leading a large team of support staff, so requires strong leadership and excellent communication and organisational skills. The Activity/Operations Manager reports directly to the Young Learner Programme Manager. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Assists the Programme Manager with the overall management and leadership of the summer centre and to meet the centres agreed key performance indicators;
  • Provides excellent student service through strong leadership and by ensuring processes and procedures are followed. Guarantee delivery of our promises by identifying areas of improvement, analysing statistics and other data to continually look to improve the level of service we deliver for the student. Continuously evaluate and identify opportunities to drive improvements that positively impact the students’ experience.
  • Manages all facilities related to the Operational function of the centre
  • Ensuring along with the Centre Director that all Fire, Health and Safety policies and procedures are in place according to local laws and regulations
  • Drives and promotes a great student services culture in EC
  • Ensures that the right mechanisms are in place to ensure the welfare of the students
  • Manages the day to day function of the front desk to include accommodation, activities, petty cash, and collection of monies that are identified by Finance as being owed by student.

Education Required: 

  • Post-secondary level of education
  • Fluent in written and spoken English 

Education Desired: 

  • Customer Service Qualification
  • Fluent in another language 

Experience Required: 

  • Working on EFL multicultural courses
  • Sports Coaching
  • Experience working with Young Learners
  • Event Management
  • Welfare Experience
