Job Description

Living Learning English requires qualified EFL teachers with native-speaker level competence in English to host and teach students in their own homes. General, Business or Academic English, adults and teenagers. 15-30 hours 1:1 or 2:1 tuition per week plus excursions. We are looking for welcoming teachers with comfortable homes who can offer homestay teaching from as little as one week per year.

As a homestay teacher you will be able to enjoy the benefits of working from home and organising your own working day. This is also a very rewarding way of teaching; students are usually very self-motivated, hard-working and make good progress. Living Learning English supplies all your course materials, but you are free to use any of your own ideas and materials.

Teachers who can host and teach YOUNG LEARNERS (11 - 17) are particularly required!

LLE is accredited by the British Council, a member of English UK and a Quality English school. Our student and teacher satisfaction ratings are high and we aim to give you full support in the delivery of the programme, including provision of teaching materials.

  • Native-speaker competence in English
  • An ELT qualification acceptable to Accreditation UK: University degree and TEFL-I certificate (either CELTA or Trinity TESOL). Teachers with Secondary Qualified Teacher Status (English/Modern Foreign Languages) or Primary Qualified Teacher Status (e.g. PGCE) are qualified to teach Young Learners
  • A clear criminal record, both domestically and abroad
