Role and Responsibilities
We are looking for an ambitious and enthusiastic leader to take on the role as Center Director for our newly acquired school in North York, Toronto. The position includes overall responsibility for the center and for the students and staff members there. As the school is recently acquired the role will entail a certain level of change management and a unique opportunity to lead the school in becoming a member of Stafford House International.
Ensuring excellent customer service
Student safeguarding and welfare
Academic results in center
Budget and P&L
Compliance with local and state accreditations, Languages Canada, Canadian Visa authorities as well as company policies
Hire, train and manage staff
The Center Director will play an essential role in establishing our company and brand values in Canada and a successful candidate for the role must be able to demonstrate excellent leadership skills and a positive attitude. To succeed, the candidate needs to have a passion for exceptional customer service and to help international students thrive in a foreign country. The candidate needs to be a positive, humble and solution oriented hard worker with experience from the Canadian EFL industry. The person will be expected to forge effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, so superb communication and people skills are essential.
MA in TESOL, Delta or equivalent preferred / BA with relevant experience considered
Direct management/supervisory experience and excellent leadership skills
Minimum 3 years’ experience of Canadian EFL market
Proven record of flexible and creative decision-making
